INSIDE IARC- CALLAH WALD

Callah is a Surrogate Coordinator who first joined the IARC family as a surrogate in 2017. She started working here a few months after her first journey and we look forward to seeing her help build another family as a surrogate again in 2020!

Have a coworker describe you.

Program Coordinator Rebecca had this to say about Callah:

Callah is a fun-loving, caring, & strong woman. She delivered her first surrobaby in October of 2018 & I had the honor to walk her through the entire process as her Program Coordinator. I enjoyed every minute of it & more. She’s recently joined the IARC team & we all couldn’t ask for a better colleague. She’s dependable, driven & passionate. Did I mention passionate? Callah is incredibly passionate about surrogacy & it shines through her work. We love you Callah and couldn’t be happier to have you help us build families every day!

What is the best part about your job or why you love working for IARC?

As a surrogate coordinator, the best part about my job is being at the beginning of somebody’s journey to help complete a family. I am always happy to answer questions and appreciate the generous souls out there, eagerly just embarking on this adventure! It’s also so fun when a surrogate gets officially passed on to the next stage!

Share a fun fact about yourself.

I love Disney everything and Tacos are LIFE.

If you could do someone else’s job in IARC for a day, who would it be and why?

If I could try someone else’s job at IARC it would be Jillian Goembel, Matching Coordinator. I think matching intended parents and surrogates sounds like a really fun job!

Three things I would struggle to live without are……………………..

I would be on the struggle bus without coffee, my glasses, and my toothbrush.

Who or what inspires you?

My own surrogacy journey inspired me to seek out employment at IARC. I had such a wonderful experience that I knew surrogacy needed to become a much bigger part of my life! My motivation in day-to-day work is our waiting list of intended parents, waiting for their perfect match to help them grow their families. (They also inspire me to complete another journey!)

What did you want to be when you grew up?

When I was little I wanted to be a teacher and a mommy when I grew up. Ironically, I pursued becoming an English teacher into college before becoming a mommy took me on a detour from that road. I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I ended up where I am meant to be!
