INSIDE IARC- JULIA GOLLEY

Julia has been with the team as a Program Coordinator since March 2020 but has been a part of our IARC family since 2016 when she began her first (of two!) surrogacy journeys. Always cheerful and bubbly and ready to help everyone, we are so thrilled to have her on our team!

Have a coworker describe you.

Lead Program Coordinator Kim had this to say about Julia:

Our sweet Julia is such a kind and giving soul. She is compassionate, caring, and very outgoing! I admire her optimism and positive outlook on life and I absolutely love her sense of humor! We are so thankful to have her a part of the IARC family ? This creative superhero can whip up a masterpiece out of popsicle sticks. She’s got that creative DNA…..from yummy cupcakes, candles, reupholster furniture, the lists goes on and on!

What is the best part about your job or why you love working for IARC?

There is absolutely no way I could pinpoint my FAVORITE part about working for IARC, because I truly love and enjoy every part of my job.

What I would like to share with people who are not familiar with us, is our family atmosphere.

Share a fun fact about yourself.

I have always loved creating “somethings” out of “nothings”.

I have a lot of crafty hobbies which include baking Gourmet Cupcakes, making candles, and reupholstering furniture. I LOVE fashion (clothing & interior design), and anything that has history (antiques) and have a lot in my home ?

I have a husband, a 5-year-old son, 2 dogs, and 6 bunnies. Sorry, that is definitely more than one “fun fact”.

If you could visit anywhere in the world you’ve never been, where would you go?

Egypt.

If you could do someone else’s job in IARC for a day, who would it be and why?

Lisa Funk’s. I have always secretly wanted to pursue a career as an attorney or an attorney’s assistant. Plus, banter with Steve all day wouldn’t be a bad gig either. ?

What is an IP or SU story that motivates you in your work?

My own ? I have such a special relationship with the two Intended Fathers I have been blessed to work with. Receiving updates on how HAPPY they are, and how happy the little ones are makes everything I have done, and continue to do, worth it.

Three things I would struggle to live without are……………………..

COFFEE. My son. COFFEE.

When not in the office, you can find me…………….

Fishing.

What did you want to be when you grew up?

A veterinarian. Until I realized I would be the one responsible for putting animals “to sleep” and I decided it was not for me. I’m a helper, so I did end up going into the medical field – for humans.
