INSIDE IARC- KRISTA PETERSON
Krista has been with the IARC team since 2018 as a Program Coordinator. Originally from Finland, she moved to Minnesota in 2016. Krista is not only a wife but also a mother of 2 dogs, Rogue and Hank, and a cat named Cloud. Krista is kind, easy-going, and funny and IARC is lucky to have her as part of our family!
Have a coworker describe you.
Program Coordinator Morgane had this to say about Krista:
Krista is our little unicorn. Fabulously one of a kind! She cares so much about all her intended parents and surrogates and her kindness transpires in everything she does. Don’t let her quiet demeanor fool you though! Her Finnish sense of humor and her beautiful heart make the perfect combination for her to be an irreplaceable member of our team! Can’t wait to be able to be back in the office to spend my days next to my amazing colleague and friend again!
What is the best part about your job or why you love working for IARC?
I think the best part is to be a part of something as amazing as creating families! I love what we do and I’m thankful to have a small part in everyone’s journey. It’s so rewarding to see people achieve their dreams and work with amazing surrogates. It’s also a bonus to have an amazing team to work with ?
Share a fun fact about yourself.
Other than I’m a Finn (born and raised), I love to watch silly reality TV shows every now and then. It’s my guilty pleasure. Sometimes it’s just nice to relax, eat some popcorn and watch crazy housewives having petty drama over nothing.
If you could visit anywhere in the world you’ve never been, where would you go?
New Zealand is high on my bucket list. Being an LOTR fan, I would love to see the “Middle-earth” and Hobbiton! Plus it is so pretty there!?
Three things I would struggle to live without are……………………..
Pizza (would eat every day if I could), my family and leggings (too much pizza..)
When not in the office, you can find me…………….
Most likely knitting while snuggling my fur-babies and watching some nerdy shows/movies with my hubby. I do also try visit back home in Finland once year to see my family and friends (not sure if that is possibility this year though with all the craziness going on..).
What did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a police officer for the longest time. It was always something that appealed to me when growing up in Finland. However, my life took a different direction and I ended up here and I can honestly say, no regrets. ?
