INSIDE IARC- NICOLE KRAEMER

Nicole is one of our surrogate coordinators and has been with IARC since 2011. She loves educating women on the surrogacy process and completed her own surrogacy journey in 2013 when she delivered twins for her intended parents.

Most importantly, she was a great support to me personally throughout my last surrogacy journey attending both the transfer and the birth. I’m not sure she knows how amazing she truly is. Most of the surrogates of the past several years that have all gone through their surrogacy journeys with IARC are because of her and that includes me. What is the best part about your job or why you love working for IARC?

I get to work with people who have the same passion and common goal, in the office and also with the surrogates that I am lucky enough to meet and help through the screening process. I get to see the happy result from everyone’s hard work when intended parents, now parents, bring their baby(ies) in for us to see.

Share a fun fact about yourself.

My family and friends remember me, as early as age 8, telling them that I would carry babies for them if they couldn’t have them on their own. Surrogacy has been a dream of mine since childhood and one that I can proudly say I’ve had the honor of experiencing now. As a child, I would claim every lost and injured animal as my own to nurse back to health. I loved anything that breathed and wanted everything to have a chance at life. So I guess that’s where it comes from. I just like to help and see people thrive and experience joy.

What is an IP or SU story that motivates you in your work?

My own intended parents. They knew from childhood that they wanted to have children and would need others to help. They’re amazing dads and seeing them together as a family is why I do what I do and enjoy the people I get to work with.

What did you want to be when you grew up?

A veterinarian. Until I realized that loving animals does not necessarily mean you’d enjoy operating on them or seeing them at their worst.
